Centaur (Greek): A creature half-man, half-horse, descended from Ixion, and living mostly in ancient Thessaly. These centaurs were invited to a marriage feast, where one of them tried to abduct the bride which resulted in a war that drove them out of Thessaly. The Minotaur was a creature who was half human and half bull. He was the offspring of Pasiphae and a bull that Minos, the king of Crete, wouldn't sacrifice to Poseidon which made Poseidon angry and he, in turn, made Pasiphae fall in love with the bull. The Minotaur was kept in the labyrinth, a maze that nobody could escape and if they got near the Minotaur he would kill them. The labyrinth was made by Daedalus , the great inventor. The Minotaur was killed by Theseus with the help of Adriadne.

Cyclops
|
Cyclops were enormous giants who often helped Zeus and would eat people. They had one huge eye in the middle of their forehead. Some people believed that cyclops' ghosts lived in the caverns of the volcano, Mount Etna, in Sicily. When fire and smoke came out of the volcano, people thought that meant the cyclops were working. They were making lighting bolts for Zeus and Hades' invisible helmet.
